Subject: CENSUS LOOK-UP !PLEASE! From: WESTON H. BYNG Date: March 03, 1998 I am unable to get to the library to look at census microfilm due to disabilities. If anyone has access to film of 1860 SC census, would you please look-up the following; Horry District: E.F. HARRISON, p. 57, Kingston Par. Spartanburg Co: L. Harrison, p. 258 M. Harrison p. 259 Limestone Sprgs. Charleston: Joseph HARRISON, p. 192 1 W. Charleston J. Harrison p. 168 Charleston Neck Schwarz, Harrison p. 504 8 W. Charleston Abbeville Dist: Mrs. H. Harrison,45, pg. 20, Abbeville CHP Abram Harrison, p. 451 Dunbarton PO Sarah Harrison p. 74 Prince Wm. Parish If any of them have a 7 year old son Louis/Lewis Henry, that would be it! I am trying (still) to find my great-great grandparents. I have only the surname given to them by immigration .. HARRISON ... they were Prussian Jews and their last name and place of origin could be anywhere. My only clues: Louis was b. 1853 in Charleston; said he went to public schools there and in Marion. Said his father died "shortly after coming to SC" . Went to Wofford College in Spartanburg. Not much to go on, but I'm determine to find them. The name Sarah caught my eye because Louis named his first daughter Sadie. May have been his mother's original Prussian first name. Louis named his son Ernest Henry, so I am interested in E.F. Abram Harrison sounded Jewish. (Although Harrison is not Jewish). L. Harrison was how Louis called himself (after his Dad?). Harrison Schwarz (was schwarz their original surname???) I'm trying to check out everything. I know this is a big request, but I'm using the "weeding out" process at this point. Surely appreciate any help anyone is willing to do.
