Subject: Fwd: Census From: gslat Date: January 13, 2000 -----Original Message----- From: Kristofer Johnson [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2000 10:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Census Dear Mr. Westberry: The population schedules of the Federal census for Georgia are missing from 1790 to 1810. Tax lists for various years for a few of the counties have been published in Some Early Tax Digests of Georgia, edited by Ruth Blair, 2 volumes. This publication can be used as a substitute for missing 1790-1820 population schedules. The only known schedules for the 1800 census are for Oglethorpe County, and have been published in 1800 Census of Oglethorpe County, Georgia by Mary B. Warren (Athens, Ga., 1965). If you have need of further assistance, feel free to let us know.
