Subject: Re: Cemetery Website From: W.D. FLOYD Date: June 20, 1999 OK, mow that everyone has had a look at, http://www.daddezio.com/cemetery/ the cemetery website and it seems that most like it, which is not a suprise. The problem is that I have spent two whole years surveying cemeteries in the area around Rutherford County, NC and have several hundred surveys on a website of my own and also donated them to the USGenWeb Archives. Now, when you go to the above mentioned site and go to North Carolina you find several hundred links to the files on my website. If you don't check out everything you will assume that they are part of the above site. I am sure that all the rest of the surveys on the site are done the same way. Many of them are the files from the USGenWeb Archives. It is my understanding that the proper way to link to someone's website is to link to the index.htm file and therefore you link to the whole site. The way the above site has done it is to link to each individual file on the website. This really makes me want to go out in the heat, cold, snakes, ticks, chiggers, and poison oak to read cemeteries for some one else to use like they are their own. If any of you would like to take a look and do a little comparing you will see what I mean.
