Cemetery Look-Ups - Jfhawthorn

Members of my family left the Abbeville County area in the 1850's and went via
wagon train to MS. They settled in what was Tippah and Pontotoc Counties. (In
1870 a new county was formed from portions of these two counties and a small
portion of Lee County.) The point is, these people left SC via wagon train,
and it stands to reason that there were members of a number of local families
that made this same migration.

I have recently purchased a book of cemetery records that was published by the
DAR Chapter in Union County, MS, in 1980. This book is not indexed by
surname, but rather by cemeteries. The people buried in each cemetery are
then alphabetized. There are some 75 cemeteries listed. Now, after haveing
gone into this much detail explaining how this book is set up, I hope you will
understand why I must limit any "lookups" to individual families and not
surnames. (there are some surnames that seem to be in every cemetery and total
well over 100 listing)

I can scan a page (using Paperport Software) if the requester
will advise that they are able to download. Otherwise, I will e-mail you the
information on the family you are researching.

I don't want anyone to be upset, but if I receive a request for a "surname
search", the request will not even be acknowledged.
