			Congregation Occurences
In Janr 1, 1797, Mr. Alexr. Porter settled amongst us as a constant supply and
from that instant his sallery began---he was ordained amongst us and
installed Apr
2 1798. The Sacrament was administered April 8 1798 at Long Cane.
The 17th, inst, Mr. Porter started for Synod and did not return untill July 1st
1798 ali which time we got but one supply.
The Sacrament was administered the 3rd Sab. of Nov. at Cedar Springs.
		A copy of a Lybill Nov. 8 1798
On information of the Rev. Alexr. Porter and Session of Cedar Springs and Long

coming to

his son made a mistake in paying me $50.00 above what was a coming to me he
told
them he would send the sheriff down to recall the $50.00 from me then they came
to me with love and amity that they wanted to settle with me and that they
would
be satisfied with the real price of the horse that Isued for they told me
to keep
all the rest of what was overpaid them for what they was indebted to me and
like-
wise for trouble and expense accordingly I did knowing nothing of the fraud
I had
