Mark Reaves of Horry Co. is more than likely descended from Mark Reaves who arrived with Fenwick's
Colony in West New Jersey in 1675. There is a breakdown in the documentation between these two
Mark's. In the book "History of Fenwick's County" by Shourds there are many Patterson's and two
Boyd's. Some Reaves were in PA after WNJ but most were in VA and then SC. My ancestor, Rawlins
Lowndes Reaves/Rollins Loundes Reaves was the youngest son of Mark Reaves and Spicey Ann Smith and
was young (I think 9 or so)when his father died. He went to GA with two of his sisters who
married Johnson/Johnston's and then to Florida prior to 1845.
