I am looking for information on any Carradines in SC before 1800.

I am primarily interested in the family of Parker Carradine. He is
mentioned several times in the records of Granville Co. between 1767 and
1779. He received English land grants in 1769 and 1774. His wife, Mary
Odam, first married John Collins about 1765. Parker and Mary moved to
Mississippi about 1780. I do not have parents names, birth date, sibling
names, marriage date, etc. and would sure like to find same.

I will have an opportunity to be in SC later this month, and hope to
visit libraries and courthouses between Savannah, Charleston, and
Columbia. Any suggestions concerning places to visit (or not visit) will
be appreciated. Naturally, I will not have nearly enough time. The
recent "Researching in Charleston" communications are appreciated, but I
have not yet read all of them.

Thanks much,
bill
