CARRADINE, Comp. of Protestants - William Carradine

Hey, I like the Roll Call, although I will agree that putting the surname of interest in the subject line is helpful.

I am interested in CARRADINE, particularly Parker, who was in the Beaufort Dist. 1767-1774 (at least). He married Mary, dau. of Abraham Odam, widow of John Collins.

Joanne, any chance Parker CARRADINE is in the book. I don't expect him to be, but the dates are correct.

There are rumors that some Carradines were English soldiers sent to the Americas (Canada, US, Jamaica ???) in the 1700's (sorry, someone has to be on the other side, otherwise there could be no Revolution. And, poor judgement might be a family trait!!!). Anyway, where might I find lists of English military types sent to the Americas? There must be some somewhere, but I have seen no references to them.

Thanks,
bill
