Hello,

I have a big old bible, printed 1856,  from the Wade Hampton Pool (Pettypool) 
family of Greenville Co., SC. 


Listed on the "Births" pages are:

Hampton McVay PPool
Was born 17th day Oct in the year of our Lord 1811
[Hampton McVAY was the son of Young Pettypoole and Sally McVAY--mp]

Caroline Sabrina Pool
Consort of W. PPool
Was Born April 17 1815~

I'm uncertain if Caroline was a POOL or not?  (I don't recognize the name 
SABRINA in our line of P'Pools. Elizabeth, Mary, Sally, Nancy, etc. are more 
common.) According to some of my compiled records, the names WELLS and McBEE 
appear in the middle names of some of her children and grandchildren.

the names are:

Robert Washington
Mary Jane
Nancy Ellmyra
Eliza Caroline
Wade Hampton
Sarah "Sally" Wells
Henry Ellender McBee--all with last name of POOL.

Their son, Wade Hampton Pool married his cousin, Elizabeth Benson 
Poole,daughter of Demarcus Roland Poole and Mary Newby Poole.

Wade and "Lizzie" were my great-grandparents and parents of my grandmother, 
Eva May Poole, born 8 Jul 1892, Greenville Co., SC; d. 18 Jan 1975, Seattle, 
WA.


Any ideas or clues are appreciated.
