Jane, In a library book "First Settlers Of South Carolina 1670-1700" p. 46, I
read
Carlile, William (Tanner)
Arrived before 11 July 1688 with his wife Ann

I looked up the soures at the time but I guess there was not anything I thought
was
important enought to copy.In the book "Records-Secretary Of The Province
1714-1717" p. 333, I read Andrew Lauran, William Carlile, and James
Patterson,all
late of New York, now of province of S. C., being sworn said as follows: These
deponents do declare that Augustas Lauran, did not come on the boat with above
ect.
