[1790]. Alexander Carlisle (b.bef. 1770) is in 1790 census of Georgetown
District, PrinceFredericks Parish, SC. One male and two females over 16.

[1812]. Land grant to Alexander Carlile Dec. 30,1812 of 741 acres on the
waters of Biggen Swampalong the Santee Canal just north of Moncks
Corners.
[1812]. Land grant to David N. Carlile Dec. 31, 1812 of 517 acres. Same
area.
Neighbors are Keating Simons, James Bearfield, Mr. McBeth, Amhurt?
Donnally,
John Donnally, Mr Graves,John White, William Campbell and Nathaniel
Marion.
[1818]. Alexander Carlile (b.bef. 1770) is dead and Mary Carlile
(b.bef.1770), his widow,  made administrator of the estate. John Wilson
(Phy.) and John Donnally (Planter)  value the estate.
[1820]. In the 1820 St. Johns-Berkeley Parish, Charleston Co. SC census
Mary
is listed as head of household with a total of nine people in the
household.
[1830]. In the 1830 St. Johns-Berk.,Char. Co. census Alexander Carlile
(ca.1800),
David Carlile (b. 1803) and Jehu Carlile (b. 1805) are listed.
[1831]. George Chur sues Jehu Carlile for a debt of $206.23 on Nov.
17,1831.
[1834]. Alexander Carlile (b.ca.1800) innkeeper is dead. His widow
Hannah
Carlile is made administrator of the estate. The estate is valued at
$700 by John
J. Radford, Storekeeper and Stephen Herren, Planter.
[1835]. On Dec. 17,1835 Hannah Carlile sues John Grayson for money owed
to
the Alexander Carlile estate from a cattle raising partnership. John
Grayson may
be a relative, he shows up in MS in 1850 living close Hannah and Hannah
has a
20 yr. old William Grayson living in the same household.
[1839]. On April 18, 1939 William B. Campbell as administrator of the
John J. Radford estate sues Hannah Carlile. John J. Radford's heirs were
Jane Radford, his widow, and Ann Campbell, his mother. Hannah was the
administrator of Jane Radfords estate.
[1840]. On the 1840 MS census David Carlile is in Jones Co.,MS and Jehu
Carlile
is in Perry Co., MS.
[1850]. 1850 census, David is listed with family, wife Eliza (b.1811),
Alexander (b.1832),
Mary and Jane (b.1835), Lawrence John (b.1838), Joel (b.1842), James
Andrew (b.1846), Almeda(b.1849)and Martha (b.1830) has married Patrick
Smith and
living close by David. The last son is born in 1852, Robert W. Carlile.
             Jehu Carlile is on the 1850 Perry Co. census with wife
Sarah(b.1819),
Mary (b.1837) and Hannah (b.1805) and William Grayson (b.1830)
[1854]. By the end 1854 David and Eliza have sold their property to John
Holoman of Perry Co. and may be on their way to Volusia Co.FL living
behind a 97 yr. old
freed slave named Charles Carlile.Charles Carlile is living with Abner
Dorsett (b.1831), wife (b.1835), Sarah (b.1855) and Mary
(b.1858).Charles is listed on the census as being 103 yrs. old.
             Jehu does not go to FL. and a Mary Carlile sells some
property in Perry Co., I can find nothing else on Jehu (Welsh for John)
or Sarah (b. 1819) after this
time. I do not know where Alexander (b.bef.1770) is from but in the 1870
census
David N. Carlile said his father was of foreign birth.I think Ireland,
maybe.
