Subject: Capt. Richard Withers From: Edward L. Manigault Date: April 14, 1999 Can anyone help me expand my information on the Revolutionary War record of Capt. Richard Withers (1732-1789) who served under Col. Peter Horry (and Marion), may have served in Daniel Horry's Dragoons 1779-1780, and was S.C. Senator (1781-1788). I need more accurate dates and lengths of service and whether he served until the end of the war, or was a prisoner at that time. A "point" in the right direction would be a great help.
