Would someone who plans to visit the Charleston Public Library, or any other
institution having the references (or other source) please look in the set
of Biographical Directory of the S.C. House of Representatives and see if
you can find Edward Blake (d. 1795) who was a member from 1777-1790. I am
hoping to learn something of his previous family; father, mother, birth date
and location, etc. and whether a likeness is available. My family records
indicate his father may have also been named Edward and was probably an
immigrant.
