Subject: CAPERS, BENNISON, I'ON, BONHOIST, DUBOIS, BONNEAU, WHITE, YOU, BONNY, GIBBS, BEALE, HOPTON From: ELIZABETH RUSSO Date: January 31, 2000 Some questions about the transaction below: Does anyone know where the plantations SWAMP PLANTATION and WHITE HOUSE PLANTATION were exactly? Can someone tell me if RICHARD CAPERS mentioned below as brother to GEORGE BENNISON was a brother-in-law, or stepbrother or half brother? I believe the Mr. DUBOIS mentioned below to be Jasper (Gaspard) DUBOIS, whose son-in-law, ANTHONY BONNEAU is also mentioned. RICHARD I'ON was related through marriage to JOHN CARNE whose daughter, ANN CLARKSON CARNE, married JASPER DUBOIS' grandson, PETER DUBOIS. Jasper's great-grandson, REV. JOHN DUBOIS was educated in part by a CAPERS descendant. Would love to hear from anyone researching any of the lines below. ------------------------------------------------------------- Book G-G, p. 49 RICHARD CAPERS, WILLIAM BENNISON, & RICHARD 22 & 23 Mar 1748 BENNISON, executors of will of GEORGE L&R BENNISON, gentleman, of Christ Church Parish to CAPT.
