Dear Mead Pond ( Margaret?),

Your post was so lovely. The Butler's Guards Ball has such
a romantic sound.

I have wanted to contact you for so long. A researcher URQ5 and
your dear friend, the Jenning's researcher do indeed sing your
praises.

Last summer the Oliver Pool's, from Gloster,Ms. sent me copies
of two summer vacations of research from Sumter,SC and
Abbeville,SC. They have been so generous and thanks to them ,we
can introduce ourselves abit more clearly.

We descend from Robert PPool born Sumter,SC 1784 died Hallsville,Tx 1854
and
Anna Eliza Tynes born Sumter ,SC 1785 died
Clinton,La. 1839

Robert's father Seth Pettypool ,born NC 1755,died Sumter SC in 1789
             mother Eugenia?
Seth's father Abram Pettypool, born Va.17?? (lived in Dobbs and Pitt
Co.NC)
                         died in Abbeville,SC after 1805
Seth's mother Sarah Odle died in Abbeville SC

I am so interested to learn about your Wade Hampton Pool. Robert's
brother ,Dr.Nazareth Pool ,had one son, who was named Wade Pool.
All of us have been curious about who he was named for. Nazareth
married Elizabeth Watkins in SC before he came to La. in 1811.
We thought perhaps Wade came from the Watkins. There were 2 Wade Pool's
on the early La. census.

I do hope to hear from you when it is convenient
You are so special ,being the only South Carolina cousin that we know, and
having such a dear ggrandfather who kept his old ball
tickets in his bible.

Polly Pool Craig McAllen,Tx
