I have an old letter stating that my great great great grandfather William
Forrester, wife and children came to Charleston from Ireland. The letter
states my great great grandfather James Forrester was born in this country
in 1769, however his tombstone reads, 1767. We have to allow for errors
back then because people did not keep records like today. The Brigantine
CHRISTIAN is the firs ship I have seen listed arriving within the time frame
that is my reason for thinking it might be the correct one. I have scanned
dozens of ships list of passengers trying to locate my ancestors. That is
how I arrived at my quest.
