Dear Georgia and South Carolina List Members,
     I am researching BOYD and SHERWOOD of South Carolina and Georgia.
Elija L. Sherwood and Mary R. (Evans ?) are buried at Zahler's Cemetery, 
Early Branch, Hampton County, SC.
     Their tombstone is the only Sherwood in the cemetery. Buried there are 
mostly YOUMANS, ZAHLER, DAVIS, HEAPE, and ULMER.
     It is said that the old BOYD family home was in Early Branch, Hampton 
County, SC. The Sherwood and Boyd families are closely connected and this 
would explain why Elija and Mary were buried in Early Branch.
     There is debate as to whether Elija had one or two wives. Possibly 
Martha and Mary (listed in the outline below, from my own FTM file) are the 
same person.
     Also, I wonder if the "L." in Elija's middle name could have been 
"Lefforts", possibly a family name.
     I am also looking for ANDERSON of Cherokee Co., Ga.
     Any assistance on researching this line is appreciated.
