Enjoy. ==Jo== (Jo Church Dickerson) << You can access the latest version of Paul Heinegg's "Free African Americans of North Carolina and Virginia" (now also including South Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware) on http://www.freeafricanamericans.com The book is a major genealogical study, quite controversial, stunning in scope, a genealogical best-seller and hugely expensive to buy. It contains the history of over 330 families on over 1000 pages of text. Amazingly, the author has put the whole thing on the web.
