Subject: Re: Book - The Frontier in the Colonial South From: Gary Wilbanks Date: March 13, 2000 I no longer remember where I purchased this book. I think I bought it at the University of South Carolina Bookstore. I don't remember the price but I think it was in the $40-$50 price range which is pricey for the size of the book (abt. 200 pages). It was probably published in limited quantities mainly for scholars, not genealogists and family historians. But, I think it makes an excellent resource for those researching that area of SC who want to know more than just genealogy but the entire culture, history and economy of the area. Personally, I would try Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. I think you will get a better price if it is available than getting it from the University of SC or from the publisher.
