hi beej -   just northwest of Ft. White, Fla, in columbia county, there is a
spring that feeds into the Ichetucknee River that is called The Blue Hole.  one of
several springs that feed the river, this one in particular puts out such a volume
of water that it is very difficult to swim over the top of the spring in order to
look down.  when accomplished, there is an area at the bottom of the spring that
is the most exceptional color of blue; it is a fantastic and truly awesome thing
to see.
