Subject: Re: Black River in 1700's From: Judith G. Brabham Date: June 17, 2000 Hello Tonya, Forgive me if this is a repeat of information you've received. My mail server was down for more than 24 hours, and I'm busy playing catch up tonight. The Index of the Mills Atlas of SC 1825 lists the Black River as flowing through the Districts of Charleston, Georgetown, Sumter, and Williamsburg. If you haven't done so already, you might want to get a history of the formation of Districts and Counties as well as maps for various periods. I found that information at: http://www.sciway.net There are probably numerous other sites that contain that information. I found that it was invaluable in untangling the ever-changing web of ever-changing boundaries, Districts and Counties in SC.
