Subject: Re: Black River Area & Black Water Swamp From: Wmmci Date: February 24, 1998 I'm not sure, but I think Black River and Black Water Swamp may be two separate areas. I have ancestors on Black River in Williamsburg/Clarendon area (McINTOSH, HARRINGTON, NETTLES, ROSE), but my TREUTLEN ancestors were in present day Calhoun County near various black water swamps associated with the Edisto River.
