Rev. JOHN DUBOIS speaks of his parents PETER DUBOIS and ANNE CLARKSON
CARNE DUBOIS as worshipping "at BETHEL."  They were presumably
Methodists in Charleston in the earliest days of the Methodist Church as
such.

Can someone tell me if BETHEL is a church name?  As in, BETHEL METHODIST
church of Charleston?  Or is it a place name, as in the Methodist Church
in Bethel?  Does anyone know of any records for this place?
