NOTE: Courthouse Square is across Meeting street from The South Carolina
Historical Society and directly behind the County Courthouse at the Four Corners
of Law.  In South Carolina, the Four Corners of Law is known as the Intersection
of Meeting and Broad streets.  On one corner is the City Hall, on another corner
is The Federal Courthouse and Post Office, another corner has the County
Courthouse, and the fourth is St. Michael's Church (God's Law).

The Charleston County RMC may be moved?  The County Courthouse has been closed
for renovation since Hurricane Hugo.  Most of the County Court functions have
been "temporarily" relocated to North Charleston for the last 9 years.  I don't
think that the RMC was relocated.  But sadly, they are just beginning
construction on Broad Street for a new controversial, massive, tall, obtrusive,
ugly, out-of-place Judicial Center which will further destroy the history and
character of Old Charlestown.  I think I read that the plans include tearing
down the old annex building where the RMC is located?  Don't know if that is
correct or when it will happen. :-(
