Did he have a brother named John T. Lord who settled in Georgia? >> I cannot go back in my database to your Lords, but I do have a Catherine Appleby (Lord?) (Not sure if her maiden name was Lord or Appleby or if she married a Lord and later a Dargan.) She married Rev. Timothy Dargan of Amelia Township, Berkeley County SC ca 1720's. (He was from Prince Wm. County Va. and prob. married there.) The speculation is that the Lords were his in-laws. Here's what I have; it might help you to make a connection later on: Timothy Dargan was granted, on 4 Nov. 1749, all of the goods, chattels, household stuffs, etc, of Owen Lord and his wife Mary, in return for which Timothy was to provide the Lords dwelling, clothing, etc. for the rest of their natural life. The deed witnessed by John Nindrin, Peter Glaswork, and William Glaswork was signed by mark of Owen and Mary Lord and recorded 27 Nov. 1749 in Prince William County Deed Book M, pg 34. Bond in the amount of 100 pds. current money was made.
