Dear Friends:
Are any of you descendants of Benjamin Lord? Did he have a brother named
John T. Lord who settled in Georgia?

I found Benjamin Lord from Charleston. He was registered as a loyalist. Here
is the info and this one didn't return to England. He may have been one of
the children of the colony from Dorchester which wasn't that far from
Charleston.

Charleston Newspaper dated Feb. 4th 1806
Anne Lord, wife of Benjamin Lord, Esq.
Died at age 66. She was married to Benjamin
In this city in 1759. She left a Number of
           Children and grandchildren.

Charleston Newspaper dated Feb 13, 1807
Benjamin Lord Sen. Esq. died on the 6th
At age 76. Formerly of South Carolina
Afterwards surveyor of East Florida and
The last 21 years a resident of the Bahamas Islands.

What do you think. He was there, left and if he was a senior then Jr. must be
around somewhere. Married in 1759 so by late 70's could have grown son.
During the last part of Rev. War Charleston residents were basically trapped
there by British.
Many thanks if you can help. God Bless - Walter Lord
