Re: Behrens and Schmidt. My 2grt.grdfather was Conrad Schmidt b. Rotenburg
an-der-Fulda 1821. He and wife Augusta Syb.(Roth?) came to US in 1846 and
it seems they might have been traveling with the Behrens/Bering family.
They were neighbors in Houston, Texas and belonged to the same Church....which
they helped build. They never were in So. Carolina but perhaps others of
the same families???
