Subject: Beaufort From: Derrell Date: June 27, 2000 Hello all, Need your help...I have ancestor, John B. Hodgens who was arrested and jailed in Beaufort in the 1780's for being unruly. He was a sailor on a ship and apparently got to noisey for the town people. While there he meet his wife Mary Ann ? and married abt 1785. Can someone tell what Parish this would have been in the 1780's? Also any suggestions as to the best place to do research?
