this information is from a paper i received some years ago from a very elderly man in the atlanta area, who is a wade descendant, but not too sure which line of wades, maybe the zachery wade line a note to the side of the paper states that this
writing is from a conversation with lt. col. richard f. scarborough of weirsdale, fl. i tried to get hold of him and he was deceased. all the info that follows is all i know of the writing.

this is exactly what is written on the paper, verbatim.

william henley was a descendant of thomas beauchamp who was secretary of state, to the capitol of maryland when it was a province (fort tobacco, maryland).
beauchamp was representative of the colony of lord calvary, he ran the province, (this is in the history of maryland and he traced it while stationed there in sevice)
during the 14th century there was several generations of earl of warwick. the male line ran out and there was only one daughter named elizabeth who married a neville, a prominent family, very famous person who became a political ring leader.
he was known as a king maker (his power was strong enough to unseat a couple of kings and reinstate somebody he wanted). with the end of the male lines of earl of warwicks in a chapel a beautiful statue is erected, a real likeness of him in a castle.

beauchamps were normans, came from normandy. they may have come with william the conquerer when he conquered england or pretty soon afterward.
the beauchamps settled in maryland where thomas beauchamp was secretary general of the colony for lord calvert who owned the colony, if you got any land, you bought it from him. a "wade" ancestor collected the rent for lands had. the land owners not only bought land but paid rent on land--this is recorded in baltimore library on the rent rolls. the family of dan wade was some of the people involved in the collection of the rents. uncle dan wade was the brother of r. f. scarborough mother, liza. the wades and beauchamps moved on down to south carolina because some of them served a coupla of years in the war and were stationed in so. carolina. maryland had a regement called the maryland lions ( or rhines ) during the revolutionary war. after the war they who had served in the carolinas' were seeking new land and it was available to them.
