Subject: Batchelor/Batchlor/Batcholer From: L_DThumper Date: March 20, 1998 Are there any of the various spelling Batcholer's in and around Cherokee County being researched by anyone? My mother-in-laws grandfather "Jim" was born about 1883. He(J. A.) & his wife Euna had 13 children.I found them with 8 children that were born in 1920 on the Cherokee County census. The info there proved to be them even though the census taker gave some of their children a different gender than what they were. *S* Family tradition has it that Jim's father was from Ireland. No other info is known about his family. There were other Batchelor's listed on the census but without knowing his family history we can't tie them in. All living family members have been asked if they can expand beyond Jim and none can so we're basically just starting from scratch. Any help would be appreciated!
