Subject: Barnwell SC 1788 Sotroe and Foreman From: Gaila & Jim Merrington Date: April 06, 1998 Searching for the parents of Rachel Sotroe, Rachel was married to my ancestor Jacob Foreman and possibly married about 1788. At that time they are listed on a Barnwell County land Deed together ( Book 1A, page 123). I have checked the Census and also the Accelerated Indexing System for another person of the Name Sotroe, to no avail. I can not even find a source for it. Jacob Foreman was born about 1762 and died in 1823. Rachel was still alive and in Barnwell when he made his will. I have plenty of information to share on Foreman -Sotroe descendants. I would like to know more about the parents of both Rachel and Jacob.
