I'm searching for information on the Green and Wroten families of Barnwell 
SC.  

John Green was born abt 1788 in SC.  He is found on the 1810 Barnwell census 
page 79.  He married Elizabeth Wroten and received passport to travel through 
the Indian Nations in October of 1811 with his wife and two children.  Also 
receiving passport at this time was Ziar Green and the William Wroten family. 
 William was possibly Elizabeth's father.  I have seen research that suggest 
William was the son of Henry but I have no documentation to back that up.  

Elizabeth had two brothers I know of named Wiley and Nehemiah.  They all 
settled in the Lawrence Co., MS. Some showing up in the Pike Co. census.  
Before 1850 several members of both families migrated to north Louisiana.  It 
is obvious there was a strong connection other than the marriage of John 
Green and Elizabeth Wroten.

I have not been able to make a trip to Barnwell.  

Are any of you familiar with these branches of the Green and Wroten families 
in Barnwell?
