Hi fellow SC rooters,
     I am new to the list and think this list is GREAT! Thanksssss Steve for all
the great SC resource information.
I have a few families that I am trying to locate more information on in SC. Here
are two of them :

William H. BALLARD b:1822 Charleston, SC(This according to IGI, I am not real sure
this is accurate) d:Sept 1864 Jesup, Ga(this from pension records) he was married
to Harriet CARPENTER on November of 1849 in  Pinewood, Sumter District, SC. Her
fathers names is John N. CARPENTER
Thye had four children:

William R. Ballard b: May 1850 SumterDistrict SC
John J Ballard b: Aug 1852 Sumter District SC
Mary Ann Rebecca b:1854 Edgefield District, SC
Alexander Ballard b: 1858 GA

I found this family on the 1850 SC census in Sumter District, SC and 1860 Chatham
County, GA census.
