BAKER family of Lancaster County - R. W. Hughes
Subject: BAKER family of Lancaster County
From: R. W. Hughes
Date: May 13, 1998

It has been a while since I posted this family... hopefully some new
folks are on now and will be able to help...trying to find info on the
ancestors of either/both of these, who were my maternal ggg/gparents...

Andrew Jackson BAKER, b. 6Mar1825, d. 8May1896; born in Flat Creek and
was buried at White Bluff Baptist Cemetery...he was a Civil War Veteran
and a member of the Masons. Married before 19 Jun 1849.
Lydia Jane [nee BAKER] BAKER, b. 13Aug1836, d. 30 Sep 1884. She was born
in Flat Creek and buried at the Baker family plantation burial plot,
which has long since disappeared....it is assumed that Andrew's parents
were also buried there...the name of his father yet to be proven, his
mother's name Margaret [probably nee Talbot].
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
Bill
