Subject: Bacon Hill (Sumter Co), SC?? From: Damita Drayton Green Date: November 29, 1998 I've been trying to find out the history of the Bacon Hill area of Sumter Co, SC (near Pinewood) without success. The GNIS Map Query lists two entries for the area - a school and a church - both annotated as historical. Does anyone have any information on this area or know of any sources that I can read? I have the Historical Sketches of Sumter Co books and neither mentions much about the area in this context. Thanks in advance.
