In certain areas of the midwest it grows wild along thr roadside and is collected for the table on a daily basis. One other thing...it sends up many shoots and is harvested over and over from the same plant. It is a perennial and has a large root system and is fairly hardy...once planted you have a sustainable crop for many years without replanting.
