Wanted to express my appreciation for some of the "extra's" I have found
on this list.  I subscribe to several lists from other states, but
because of leads indicating origins in SC, recently joined this list.

Having lived in LA and TX all my life, I know nothing about SC and the
information about the re-print company's books is very helpful.
Additionally, I at first thought that the 1860's legal terms were
simplistic i.e., until reading later in a couple of postings where two
of the very words I had earlier seen were used, and the defintions I had
read earlier helped me better understand the postings.

I think all listowners should have brief passages regarding the
geographical/historical context of their list areas.  This could help
orient those of us whose research leads to a broad area (such as an
entire state) much more quickly and help focus our efforts to meaningful
areas of research.
