Subject: AOL emails "with attachments" From: Jochurchd Date: July 26, 1998 Re opening the *.mim attachments for those with on aol: They are simple text files. No special programs necessary! This is not a big nor a complex problem. I just open a word processor program that will read text files, then open the *.mim file and read it. They are simple text files, and any word processor should work. WordPad works just fine, but most of the SCRoots files are too large for NotePad. :-) You will probably have to click on "all files" to view it in the selection window. The files can be found in the c:/aol*/download directory or folder. I also highlight & save to a text file anything I wish to reference later, give it a useful name, then delete the large file so I have the space on my hard drive. Or copy a query to an aol e-mail form for a later reply to that person. Some, however, may wish to save the whole file to have handy access to all of Steve's words of wisdom.
