Subject: Re: Annals of St Thomas & St Denis Parish, SC From: J.A.L. Miller, Jr. Date: June 20, 2000 Cindi in Baltimore, My Wilmington, N.C., Robert Sage, Jr., born Wilmington March 15, 1769, removed to Baltimore, Md., (c1790?) and I can find nothing more. I desc. his sister, Mrs. Hetty-Bella Sage James. He had a brother, Geo. Washington Sage, name for when in 1790, Pres. Washington spent the night at Sage's Inn, Holly Ridge, N.C. My grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Valerie Woollen Miller's nephew was LtCol. Robert Henry "Marse" Lee, U.S. Coast Artillery, West Point class of 1912. His first post was Fort McHenry. His father was Chas. Carter Lee, older brother of Gen. Rbt. Edw. Lee, Sr., CSA. "Marse" was born Winston-Salem, N.C., Sept. 3, 1890, and died Richmond, Va, May 22, 1941, ss499-14-0392, the son of Henry and Lillian Elizabeth "Muttie" Woollen Lee. All are in the book "Lee Family of Virginia" by Edm. Jennings Lee. LtCol. Lee is buried St. Luke's Epis., Lee's Landing, Powhatan Co., Va., within sight of his grandfather's home "Windsor". June 22, 1912, Baltimore, Md., Lt. Lee (at Ft. McHenry?) wed Miss Mabel Edgerton Parron by whom he had his only child, Mrs. Rosa Parron Lee Watts, born Baltimore May 13, 1918. I think they became estranged or perhaps she preceeded him in death, as she is not mentioned in his 1941 Richmond obit or will. Lee and Mable divorced; her fate is unknown. His widow (no issue) was Mrs. "Janet" Jeannelle Slaughter Lee who died Richmond 1957, they married 1903. The Parron family had been in Baltimore a while. Could you obtain a copy of Lt. Robert Henry Lee and Miss Mabel Edgerton Parron's circa June 22, 1912, Baltimore wedding annoucement?
