>Hi:

The Andrea files are family histories and genealogy that was complied by
Leonardo Andrea of Columbia, SC, back in the 1940s and 1950s. When Mr.
Andrea died his sister Connie kept the original manuscripts and you could
rent them from her for 30 days. During that time you could copy them. I
have several families that I have researched. I rented the Morris,
Morgans, Burnetts, Bibbs, Martins, cannot remember any others. This cost
me $119.00 for thirty days, was quite a number of pages. I found some of
it to be very interesting and some not to be. People "families" would get
him to research families for reunions. Most of the information on my
families I had already found myself. His files are worth looking at if you
are just starting to do research. The South Carolinana Library at the
University of South Carolina now has his original manuscripts, I believe.
Don't know if his sister, Connie, is still living. Connie was very
pleasant to deal with. She knew how many pages she let you have and
charged you if you did not send all the pages back. She was a very nice
lady. I found some help in the information. It would have been a
tremendous help had I first looked at his information. The Andreas lived
on Devine Street in Columbia, SC.
