Andersonville Civil War Camp - MR BOBBY C MINCEY
Subject: Andersonville Civil War Camp

I just received a copy of your e-mail about a successful trip to the
new POW Museum at Andersonville. In it you said that you purchased a
copy of the Atwater List of prisoners that died in the camp from 1864-
1865.

Researching my wife's fathers side family history we ran across a bit
of information written by her father's brother. His writings stated
that there was an ancestor that died there, his name was William
Nixon known as "Buck Nixon". He also indicated that he was a doctor.
The family history shows that he was from Pike county, Indiana.
Military affiliation is unknown, other that than the fact that he
served on the side of the Union forces.

If you provide look up services, could you search the "Atwater List"
for this name. Will gladly reimburse reasonable amount for this
service. Rspond by e-mail, please.

My snail mail address is:

Thanks in advance, sincerely.
