Thanks for info. about the Kittrell family.  This is the first mention
I've ever had that the Kittrell's were in any way related to African
American lines; it probably was desc. of the slaves, as was often the
case in early Southern lines.  

I see that you have Duncan in your notes.  I am also desc. of a Robert
Paul Duncan b 1815 VA who m a Whitaker of NC and moved to TN ...and
whose line eventually married desc. of those Kittrell's of NC.
