Looking for information on the background of Adam Ewing Gibson (b. abt.
1812) who m. 23 June,1840 Antonia Bentley Weston (1814-1891) , daughter of
Dr. Paul Weston, from the Waccamaw, S.C. area.

I suspect that he may be descended from Maj. George Gibson (1832, Co. Cork,
Ire.- 1819, Lee? Co., Va.) a revolutionary War officer, as some of his
offspring have Ewing as a middle name.

I have a lot of information on other Gibson branches who moved to Tn. and
Ky.
