Subject: RE: Abraham Lincoln From: gslat Date: December 30, 1999 I must have missed something on this subject. What links did Abe Lincoln have to South Carolina, other than the Union Army. Really, I care not one whit. The man was a prominent figure in American history, violating every rule and law on the books at that time to keep the union together. He was a dictorial assh. Locked people up and suspended freedoms for his own cause. Made his proclamations after his hoodlums dressed as soldiers carried out their assignments. Which they did with excessive vigor. Anyway, neither here nor there on opinions of this nature. Ain't allowed nohow. Yall done read this, I assume. POLICY REMINDER: The Topic is South Carolina genealogy and related history. SCRoots is The South Carolina Genealogy Forum. SCRoots is the online meeting place for discussions and sharing of information regarding South Carolina genealogy and related history. The Forum is for sharing and discussion of South Carolina genealogy information, study, and research. Historical in formation and other material helpful for guiding or understanding research is acceptable. Other subjects and uses are off-topic in the SCRoots Email Forum. To learn more about SCRoots, peruse our web pages at http://www.scroots.org/. How does one interpet this? I can read it 7 different ways from Sunday and post stuff from the Phillipines. Not my intentions. I personally feel that if a family has SC roots, all data pertaining to that family, whether they moved to Alaska or Georgia, should have a place on the SCROOTS. cw -----Original Message----- From: anne stanford [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, December 30, 1999 12:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Abraham Lincoln I by no means am related to Lincoln, but I sure did enjoy the story.
