Charleston, S.C. factors. Ker Boyce (1787-1854) was a Charleston, S.C.
merchant,
banker, and South Carolina state representative and senator. Born in
Newberry
County (S.C.), he formed a partnership in 1817 with his brother-in-law
Samuel
Johnston and established a store and later a factorage firm in Charleston.

Bound volume contains accounts for purchases and payments by customers
(companies and individuals) for goods such as molasses, coffee, gin,
peaches,
and other items, noting charges for freight, shipping, and drayage. There
are
also accounts for sales of cotton shipped to Liverpool (England). Names
appearing in the volume include Ker Boyce, Henry Boyce, and Walter Boyce.

Binding damaged.
