  TO ALL TO WHOME these presents shall come - I Mary Brigaud of ye County and
province above written send Greetings WHEREAS Henry Heughs late of the County
and Province aforesaid Taylor by his Certaine writting of Sale under his hand &
seale, bearing date the one and thirtieth day of May in the Yeare of our Lord
one Thousand Six Hundred Eighty & Eight Did sell and Make over to the said Mary
Brigaud one Towne Lott at Charles Towne which the said Henry Heughs obteyned of
ye Lords & absolute Prop. of this province as Appear by their Pattent or grant
under the Great Seale appoynted for that purpose the three and twentieth day of
March One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty and one Pass & Grant unto Henry Heughs one
Towne Lott at Charles Towne which said Lott is distinctly Known by the number of
Ninety in the Plett and Draught of Charles Towne .. Butting & Bounding to ye
Northward on a Lott not Yett Laid out to the Southward upon ye Lott of Mr.
Bearnley (Dearnley .. Bearrley??) and butting to ye Eastward upon the Great
Streete that leadeth from the Oyster Poynt to ye Markett Place . . and to ye
Westward upon the Lott of Mathew English .. which said Towne Lott the Said Henry
Heughs his heires and Assignes shall have and hold fore-ever as by the said
Grant more at large appeared.

  NOW KNOW YEE that I the said Mary Brigaud for and in consideration of ye sum
of Fowerteene pounds of good currt money of this province to me in hand Paid
before ye ensealeing and Delivery of these presents by Martin and Francis Guerin
both of ye County and Province above written .. Labourers the rect. whereof I do
hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof I do hereby acquitt and
discharge the said Martin and Francis Guerin their heires Exects. administrators
and Assignes by these Presents .. have demised Granted and Sold and these
presents do demise Grant Bargaine and Sell unto ye said Martin and Francis
Guerin their heires Executors and Assignes all that Towne Lott whole and entire
as aforementioned with and singular ye Houses Edifices and Buildings and all
other ye Appertenances whereunto Belonging ... TO HAVE AND TO HOLD The said
Towne Lott with all and singular the Premises and Every Part thereof Wth every
of their Rights members and appertenances unto ye said Martin and Ffrancis
(perhaps all F's for Francis are doubled as "Ff') Guerin their heires Executors
and Assignes for Ever ...

  AND I THE said Mary Brigaud doe further by these presents for me my heires
Executors and Assignes and Every of them promise covenant and Grant to and wth
the said Martin & Ffrancis Guerin their heires Executors and Assignes and every
of them shall and may Lawfully Peaceably and Quietly have hold occupy & enjoy &
possess all and singular ye Premises before by these presents demised and every
part and parcell thereof with every of their rights members & appertenances
without the Lawfully Lett sale (sule?) (sute?) trouble Eviction expulsion
interuption or Demand of or by me my heires Executors or Assignes ... or of or
by any other Person or Persons lawfully Gaineing from by or under me my heires
Executors or Assignes or any of us. As allso acquitted Discharges & well and
sufficiently Saved and Kept Harmless of and from all and all manor of former or
other Giftes, Bargaines, Sales, Titles, Dowers, Titles of Dowers, Uses, Wills,
Statutes, Recognizances, Judgements, Executions, Troubles, Charges & Demands
whatsoever had made done or committed or to be made done and committed for me my
heires, Executors or Assignes or by any other Person or Persons whatsoever
lawfully Claimeing by from or under us or any of us ..

  AND I YE said Mary Brigaud do further covenant promise and Grant for me my
heires Executors and Assignes to and wth the sd Martin and Ffrancis Guerin their
heirs and Assignes that I the said Mary Brigaud my heirs Executors and Assignes
and all and every of us shall and will at all times hereafter and from time to
time upon Request made st ye Cost and Charges in the Law of the said Maturin
(sic) or Ffrancis Guerin their heires Executors or Assignes or some of them make
doe and Execute or cause to be made done and executed all and singular such
further and other reasonable act and acts thing and things whatsoever for ye
further and more better Assureance Surety suremakeing and conveying of said
Demised Premises wth the appertenances and every part thereof unto ye said
Maturin and Ffrancis Guerin their heires Executors and Assignes as by ye said
Maturin and Ffrancis Guerin their heires Executors and Assignes or by their
Councill Learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised or advised and required.
In witness whereof I the said Mary Brigaud together with my sonn Peter
Couillandeau and my sonn in law Isaac Dubose and my Daughter Susanna Dubose his
wife have hereunto sett our hands and seales this seventeenth day of March in
the Year of our Lord One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety and one ..

  That full and Pemsable Possession & Seizen was given and delivered by ye wthin
named Mary Brigaud Together wth her son Peter Couillandeau and son in law Isaac
Dubose and her Daughter Susanna Dubos unto ye wthin named Maturin & Ffrancis
Guerin of all ye wthin mentioned Lott and the Houses Tenements Clauses(?) and
Appartenances wthin mentioned according to ye true Intent & meaning of ye wthin
writeing & Deed of Sale this Seaventeenth Day of March Anno Dom One Thousand Six
Hundred ninety one two ... Anno g (?) Regni Geogeis et Regina nuncy (?) et quat
