RECORDS FROM THE BLAKE AND WHITE BIBLES

   The following is a faithful transcript from the Bible of my mother, in which
these transactions were wont to be recorded. It is in the possession of Dr.
Brickell.
   Miss Elizabeth Timothy married Mr Abraham Bourquin, and died January 1765,
aged 31 years.
   Elizabeth Bourquin, Daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth Bourquin, born 26th
Sept 1754.
   Blake Leay White, Son of John and Mary White, born 21st August 1748,* married
to Elizabeth Bourquin, on the 7th of April 1772.**
   Elizabeth Mary White, daughter of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 14
Sept. 1773.
   Mary Susannah White, daughter of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 1st
July, 1775.
   John Bourquin White, son of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 7th August
1777, died 29th July, 1780, aged 3 years.
   Blake Leay White, son of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 2nd Sept. 1781.
[John Blake White?]
   A daughter, born 22nd May 1784. died immediately.
   Charlotte White, daughter of Blake Leay and Elizabeth born 12th June 1785
died 10th May, 1786, aged 11 months.
   Sarah Clarke White, daughter of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 28 June
1787.
   Charlotte Hodgson White, daughter of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 2nd
July 1789.
   A son of Blake Leay and Elizabeth White, born 1st May, 1792 died immediately.

  * The Register of Prince Frederick's Parish give as his date of birth, August
20, 1748.

  ** A. S. Salley, Marriage Notices from the South Carolina Gazette; Thursday
April 30, 1772: (Tuesday) Mr. Blake-Leay white was married to Miss Elizabeth
Bourquin.
