Personal records of Evelyn Cronan and Gerre Byrd, this John Moore (b. abt 1826) that married Catherine Watson is the son of Abner S. Moore (b. abt 1801) rather than Tavener B. Moore (b. abt 1793). Originally received name from Marty Grant who had him as the son of Abner S. Moore. This appears to be in error because of an entry in Macon County Deed Book A. This entry states that John Moore of Rabun County, Ga in 1838!!! Since he would have been only 12 it is highly unlikely that he signed that paperwork.
