Per "History of Lancaster County. Pennsylvania" by Samuel Evans, Mullison (as he spells it) was a hotel keeper, stage operator, and railroad contractor in Columbia, PA. His daughter married Thomas A. Scott.
Found Ruben Mullison in 1830 Census for Columbia. No other obvious Census hits. Did find an 1851 Gettysburg newspaper article mentioning "Reuben Mullison, Esq." of Columbia which matches his general occupations as noted above.
