Platte County census for Lost Creek Twp. shows that both Jan (John)
and his wife Maryanna were born Jun 1849. They were married 22 years at
the time of the census - about 1878. Eight children were enumerated
with them: Tom, John, Frank, Joe, Mary, Charlie, Josy, Mike.
In the 1910 Platte County census for Lost Creek Twp. John's Mother Mary, age 90, was enumerated with him and his family. John was age 58, Mary (John's wife) was age 58, and their children: Frank, 28; John, 25; Joseph, 18; Josephine, 16; Charles, 14; Michael, 12. Marianna (wife of John PROROK) was a daughter of Michael and Catharina FLAKUS GALUS. She is Marge's half first cousin four removed. Marianna was born 11 August 1851 in Łęki Dolne, Galicia, Poland. John was an illegitimate son of Marianna PROROK. He was born 14 Jun 1853 in Łęki Górne, Galicia, Poland. John and Marianna married on 6 November 1878 in Łęki Górne.
